Dance of Venus: Crown Chakra Activation

For days, Venus has been parked at 11 Capricorn, activating the 38th Gene Key, which "....can be a very dark place within the genetic matrix because it represents a primal energy whose main instinct when threatened is aggression. In animals, this natural ferocity is embodied in the behaviour of a mother when her cubs are threatened. As this aspect of DNA developed in human beings it became the foundation of the evolutionary law of the survival of the fittest."

I've been sensing into Pluto's journey through Capricorn, which began in Nov 2008, for a number of years. As we approach critical mass, I feel the dissolution of outmoded ego structures in preparation for a migration of consciousness. Capricorn is the place where domination culture has repressed, controlled, demonized the feminine. I believe Capricorn, a feminine sign, has been co-opted by the patriarchy. Survival of the fittest suggests the strongest, most capable wins at the game of life. This ideology may work for the rest of the animal kingdom, but as humanity evolves away from hierarchy and power-over; as interdependence, care economy, healing -- feminine wisdom -- rise through the cracks of our crumbling foundation, we must reconnect to our ancestral roots and invoke a new way.

Each year, humans celebrate "Solar returns," commonly known as birthdays. Astrologically, this is the point where the transiting (in the sky) Sun makes a conjunction with the natal Sun. The United States is deep in the energy of its first Pluto return, as transiting Pluto completes his 248-year journey through the Zodiac to meet our country's natal Pluto in Capricorn on Feb 20, 2022. ....You might have noticed this playing out on the world stage as our government, the left and right, polarize, bash, flat out abuse one another; as 'Black Lives Matter' gets louder, so do the efforts to suppress those sounds; as Roe vs Wade teeters on the edge of overturn.

Venus stationed retrograde conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, as such these themes and energetic signature have been LIVE in conscious awareness. I feel my Mars (masculine, root chakra) waging war on Venus (feminine, sacral); it's like I both victim-shame and gaslight myself on a deeply unconscious level. Attention has been placed on various ways I leak, project, repress feminine, sexual, creative energy; where I've projected responsibilities. I'm guided to establish boundaries, lower defenses, create with Venus, and reassign Mars to a more honorable role. 

The morning of Saturday January 29, Venus meets the waning crescent Moon. Inanna surrenders her crown, her connection to the Divine as the Queen of Heaven descends through the Gate of Authority. That evening, The Dance of Venus will explore Saturn, the inner authority, ruler of Capricorn and the crown chakra. A energetic "re-minding," our practice will feel into the crown to clear distortions associated with the archetypal energies of Saturn and Capricorn.
