Sound Medicine

Sacred:Human Sound Alchemy

I created this sound healing meditation recorded at Lullwater Studio in June 2024, the day Jupiter moved into Gemini. Enjoy with external speakers or earbuds… your phone won’t do it justice. To imbibe the healing frequencies, I suggest creating a comfortable nest where you are free to fully relax, as well as wiggle around, stretch, posture as you feel called. Hold an intention as you listen. When attention wanders, gently return your awareness to your intention.

In 1994, Ani Williams developed Songaia Sound a series of recordings based on the 12-tone musical scale. The following recordings combine the healing resonance of harp, Australian didjeridu, overtone chanting, and Tibetan singing bowls, all instruments used therapeutically by ancient cultures for thousands of years. Each of the 12 tones correlate with specific physical conditions, organs of the body, signs of the Zodiac and emotional patterns.

Songaia tones can be used passively as ambient healing sound, subtly harmonizing you, the environment, as well as reducing stress, encouraging relaxation, sleep, pain relief, and relaxation for hyperactive children.

Each 15-minute track begins with a harp and didjeridu tone meditation. About halfway through, voices are introduced, and this is where the toning begins — match your voice to the voice tone. You might hum, use one of the vowel sounds (ah eh ee I oh oo uh), or repeat a mantra as an optional practice. You can also use a focused intention to guide the sound: visualize an area of the body as you tone to direct healing frequencies and vibration (sound) into that area; tone into any feeling to clear emotional energy.

Frequency + Intention = Healing
